Mango growing, roast lamb and finally succumbing to the lurgy.

Today started pretty much as expected, meaning I woke to find that Jasmine was not going to work due to still feeling ill & Noah was sat in utter control of the Sky remote.

Ok so I may not be 100% either my throat decided to close and feel like I had spent the night chain smoking and singing Karaoke both of which I have long given up. But today was going to need some major attention if it was going to be successful preparation for the return to school in the morning.  3 cups of tea later I decided to get some fresh air,  luckily Tess has grown most of her fur back and she was happy to come along for company.
Walking seemed popular today with virtually every other family in town except mine who stayed at home to ensure that Sky didn't lose transmission, so it was a mutual exchange of pleasantries every few yards but none the less I felt better for the walk and Tess seemed to enjoy it.

After lunch Jasmine decided she'd like to try growing the Mangoes she had eaten, after a quick google it became apparent that we could actually do this.  A south facing garden was required which we have and basically its a case of keeping it moist and warm so off we went to the garden center for pots and now we have one of the Mango seeds on the windowsill while the other waits for attention.

So its Sunday and this means that despite feeling like all I want to do is sleep I'm cooking roast leg of lamb for dinner, pudding is ice cream as I'm just not up to another major cooking event, the Christmas and new year requirements of feasting have been quite enough, possibly until easter even.  While I tried to avoid becoming a slave to the oven over the holidays it was inevitable really especially when you have a family like mine.

So that's it really, I'm off to finish preparing dinner and then I suppose it's sunday evening chaos as usual in readiness for school tomorrow.
